Samples

Sample orders: eight combinations, one decision each

A sample is not a preview. It is the only chance to check three things a photograph cannot show: whether the measurements match the spec, how the decoration behaves on that exact fabric, and whether the collar still looks like a collar after one hot wash.

How to use the samples page

Pick the method first, then the garment. Screen print is the cheapest per piece above roughly fifty units and the most durable on cotton; DTG is the right answer for photographic artwork on a light body; DTF holds colour on dark and blended fabric; embroidery outlasts every print but cannot reproduce a gradient.

If the artwork is not final, order one sample with the closest method and treat the decoration as provisional. The blank, the measurements and the collar are the decisions that are expensive to change later — the print placement is not.

What happens after the sample

  1. Measure it: chest, length, shoulder and sleeve, against the tech pack tolerance.
  2. Wash it once, hot, and check shrinkage and collar shape.
  3. Approve or change the specification — in writing, before the bulk run.

Questions

Is the sample cost refunded against the bulk order?

No. Sample pricing covers the garment, the decoration setup and the shipping, and those costs are already incurred. What the sample buys is the approval — and it is the cheapest part of the project.

How long does a sample take?

7–10 days for the garment and decoration, plus transit. A sample that needs a new pattern or a custom dye lot takes longer, and we will say so before taking the order.

Can I order a sample from more than one method?

Yes, and it is usually the right move: one blank with screen print, DTG and embroidery on the same body tells you more about which method suits the artwork than three separate samples on three fabrics.

What if the sample is wrong?

Measure it against the spec rather than judging the feel. If a measurement is outside the stated tolerance, that is a remakes issue and we fix it. If the fit is simply not what you pictured, that is a specification change, and the second sample is quoted as a new sample.
