T-shirt size guide — measured flat, in centimetres

Every measurement below is taken on the garment, laid flat, one side only. Half chest is the width of one side at the chest line; double it for the full circumference. Four numbers decide a fit: half chest, body length, shoulder and sleeve.

The same body drawn in three fits: ① classic, ② relaxed, ③ oversized. Chest width and sleeve length are the two measurements that move most between them.

How to measure, in the order that matters

  1. Half chest. Lay the garment flat, measure across from armhole seam to armhole seam, straight across — not along the curve.
  2. Body length. From the highest point of the shoulder to the bottom of the hem.
  3. Shoulder. From one shoulder seam to the other, across the top of the back.
  4. Sleeve. From the shoulder seam to the end of the sleeve, measured along the top.

Which styles this table does not cover

This is the 230gsm boxy crew. The oversized and long sleeve blocks are cut from different patterns, and each product page carries its own sheet. We do not publish a single "universal" chart, because a universal chart is the reason a 2XL arrives 3 cm short.

Sweatshirts, hoodies and bottoms are quoted per style, with the measurements issued with the sample — we do not list numbers for garments we have not cut.

Questions

Are these measurements taken on the body or on the garment?

On the garment, laid flat, one side only. Half chest is one side of the body — double it for the full circumference.

What tolerance applies to these numbers?

±1 cm on body length and sleeve, ±0.5 cm on half chest and shoulder. That is the normal production range for cut-and-sew knitwear; tighter than that on washed cotton is usually unenforceable.

Why is half chest larger than a regular t-shirt at the same letter size?

Because this block is boxy: the body is wider and shorter than a regular fit. At size M the half chest is 56 cm, which sits where a regular L usually does. Size down for a standard fit.

Do all your styles use the same size chart?

No. Every style has its own pattern and its own sheet. This table is the 230gsm boxy crew; oversized, long sleeve and kids blocks differ, and each product page carries its own numbers.
