Hooded T-Shirts — China Stock
Three hooded short-sleeve tees: a heavy cotton hooded tee and a cotton-linen version. A hood on a t-shirt is a construction decision as much as a style one — it adds fabric, a seam line and a shape that has to hold without a lining.

How a t-shirt hood is built
A jersey hood is usually two panels joined at a centre seam, with a single-layer or double-layer construction and a drawcord or a plain opening. Double-layer holds shape better and hides the seam; single-layer drapes more and collapses when wet.
The weight of the body matters here. A 180gsm body with a heavy hood pulls at the shoulders and sits oddly; a heavier body carries the hood. That is why the hooded styles in stock sit at the heavier end of the range.
Cotton versus cotton-linen for a hooded tee
Cotton-linen has a dry hand and a visible slub, and it creases — which is the point for a summer hooded tee but a problem for a uniform programme. It also shrinks unevenly compared with pure cotton, so the washed measurements differ from the unwashed ones.
Pure cotton hooded tees behave like the rest of the cotton range: predictable shrinkage of 4–6% on first wash, takes print well, and holds a plastisol print without the fibrillation you get on darker combed cottons.
Pricing and what to watch
Hooded tees run $4.50–$6.55 FOB across the tiers. The premium over a plain tee is fabric and sewing time for the hood, not decoration. Sizes run M–3XL with the usual extended-size surcharge.
The thing to watch is the hood opening measurement: too small and it will not sit over a head with hair; too large and it hangs flat on the back. Ask for the opening measurement in the spec, not just the hood height.

Hooded T-Shirts: common questions
Is the hood single or double layer?
It depends on the style — double layer holds shape better, single layer drapes more. Check the style spec before ordering.
Does cotton-linen shrink more?
It shrinks unevenly compared with pure cotton, so measure after washing and correct the size chart.
Can a hooded tee be printed?
Yes. Keep the print inside the front panel and away from the hood seam.
