3/4 Sleeve & Raglan T-Shirts — China Stock

On a set-in sleeve, the front panel is a closed area bounded by the shoulder seam — a print sits entirely inside it. On a raglan, the sleeve panels reach the neckline, so a chest print that runs wide will cross onto the sleeve. That is either the point (colour-block and contrast designs use it deliberately) or a problem (a sponsor logo gets cut in half by a diagonal seam).

The fix is to lay the artwork on the flat pattern rather than on a photo: keep the main mark inside the front panel and treat the raglan seam as a hard edge. For contrast raglan styles, the two-colour construction means the print colour has to work against both body and sleeve.

Colour-block and contrast-raglan styles are cut from two fabrics, which means two fabric lots to match, a cutting step that keeps the pairs together, and a sewing line that cannot simply feed one panel type. That is why these sit above a plain tee on the ladder even at the same weight.

It also affects reorders: if one of the two colours runs out, the whole style stops rather than half of it. If a colour-block is core to your range, order the pair together and keep a buffer.

The size run is M–3XL, with 2XL and 3XL carrying the usual surcharge. Because a 3/4 sleeve uses more fabric than a short sleeve at the same body size, the base price is higher than a comparable short-sleeve style — that is fabric consumption, not margin.
